The decision to shut down operations was a difficult choice, but in light of the medical information and recommendations that we have received moving forward, certainly the right decision for our members and community. It is paramount for our organization to be part of the solution of doing what we can to combat this virus, and to be in lockstep with the strategy as it relates to the bigger picture.
I ask all of our members to remember, that your safety, and that of our staff, is the most important consideration as we navigate these uncharted waters together. As a secondary repercussion to this virus, the crisis will invariably have an impact on our finances, as we are going to do our best to pay our staff and other expenses while we are closed for operations during this crisis. But the bottom line is, money can be replaced, but a human life cannot. The fact that there are so many unknowns about this virus makes it critical that we do what the medical experts recommend. This is no time to be a “Maverick” moving forward as there are potentially the health of many at stake.
Thank you for your support during this time.
