ABOUT EPACT:

We are excited to launch the use of EPact, a paperless Private Personal Emergency Record (PPER) that lets families enter all their critical health and emergency data online, and then securely share it with the Rappahannock Area YMCA for our licensed childcare programs.

We believe EPact will benefit the families we serve by streamlining the childcare registration process. Families own their PPER, enter their data ONCE, and share it program-after-program, year-after-year. If families update information, authorized staff are immediately alerted.

HOW WILL WE KEEP YOUR KIDS AND OUR TEAM SAFE?
• ENTRY SCREENING PROCESS
YMCA staff and children will have their temperature taken upon arrival each day.
In addition, parents will be asked to complete the COVID-19 Screening Tool each morning at drop off. Any child of staff member with a temperature of 100 degrees or greater will be turned away immediately.
• DOOR SECURITY PROCEDURES
The doors will remain locked and monitored by a staff member at all times. For safety reasons, we will ask parents not to enter the areas where the children are located.
• SOCIAL DISTANCING
Groups will adhere to state licensing regulations, which require us to have a maximum of 21 children per group, as long as social distancing of 6 ft is maintained. When participating in group activities, children will be arranged with distance between them. Individual activity stations, like art, reading and puzzles will be encouraged. YMCA staff will encourage that children do not touch each other at all nor engage in planned activities that require touching or closeness, like tag. The YMCA will minimize time the participants stand in lines and enforce social distancing in these lines, if possible.
• HEALTH PRECAUTIONS
We will enforce increased hand-washing: staff and participant’s hands should be
washed/scrubbed a minimum of hourly, which has been proven by the CDC to be the most preventative measures.
• CLEANING & SANITIZATION
Equipment and touch points will be wiped down with a disinfectant on a regular basis throughout the day. If possible, staff will avoid items with porous surfaces/ that are otherwise not able to be disinfected.
