Cooking Autism, Inc.
Cooking Autism is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that services the Rappahannock area in Virginia. Our mission is to help provide important life-skills programs to autistic children and adults so that they can gain confidence, independence, and build a strong foundation of skills; communication, fine motor skills, advocating, giving and following instructions, collaboration, and independent living skills. We are excited to be working with schools, churches, support groups, and local charities, to reach our neurodiverse community. Currently we are providing over 586 local community members with year-long programs so that they can sharpen and retain these important skills. Our programs are solely funded through the donations from churches, businesses, and generous community members like yourself. Thank you for helping us as we help our community members grow! Micah Ecumenical Ministries is a collaboration of churches that cares for our community’s homeless neighbors, addressing not just physical needs but relational and spiritual needs, as well. With Micah’s help, homeless neighbors identify pathways to sustainable permanent housing, access meaningful relationships, meet basic needs like food and clothing, have a place to stay when they are sick or dying, find sustainable employment and income, and a myriad of other support services. Micah serves in response to God’s call to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with God in all of our ministries. Support for Micah helps neighbors find a home in the Fredericksburg region. We can be a community where no one has to sleep outside. Click here to visit their website.
Rappahannock Area YMCA
The YMCA is part of a powerful association of men, women and children committed to bringing about lasting personal and social change. With a focus on nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the nation’s health and well-being and providing opportunities to give back and
support neighbors, the Y enables youth, adults, families and communities to be healthy, confident,
connected and secure. Since 1973, the Rappahannock Area YMCA has served the Rappahannock region. Every day, we work with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Proceeds from the Drive Rappahannock Community Car Raffle will support our Open doors program which makes YMCA membership and programs affordable for all.
