Run Coach Training Program 5K

The Rappahannock Area YMCA offers a variety of training and coaching programs to help you accomplish your biggest running goals.
Every program is thoroughly researched, tested, and proven to get results. Whether that?s a new personal best, more consistency, or fewer injuries. Runners and Walkers welcome. This program is for all fitness levels. Coaching isn?t just for elite athletes. It?s for anyone who wants to improve their running, nutrition, injury prevention and overall fitness level.
HOW MUCH DO YOU NEED TO TRAIN TO RUN A 5-K? The following is an 8 week training schedule to help get you to the finish line of a 5-K (3.1 miles). Each participant gets a specific game plan created by your coach custom for you!
This program is designed for all levels of fitness. To participate in this 5-K program, you should have no major health problems. No previous run experience required.
