From the beginning stages of life, the Y provides a nurturing environment for your child to learn, grow and thrive.
Children learn through interaction, exploration, and play. We take every interaction we have as learning experience to develop your child’s creative, intellectual, emotional, social and physical skills. Our preschool program uses curriculum with developmentally appropriate experiences to foster joyful learning, address specific needs and build skills for success.
Activities and Enrichment
Early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. Planned within this framework, our developmentally-appropriate curriculum allows children to explore and examine their world and includes sharing and conversation, stories, songs and finger plays, creative arts and crafts activities, large muscle activities, cooking projects and exposure to shapes, numbers, colors, and letters.
Our Preschool programs are designed for children ages 3-4 who are fully potty trained. Our program options vary by branch, with schedule offerings ranging from two to five days per week.
